Hi Cheyenne! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Disneyland Resort is a fantastic place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and all of life's biggest moments. We've celebrated many occasions as a family at the parks. You can celebrate with a
complimentary button from Guest Services, so everyone knows you've got news to share! Or pick up a souvenir that will come in handy down the road.
Picking the perfect
Disney PhotoPass spot to capture the moment is always a great choice. The photographers are so talented, and they're accustomed to being a part of the magic. A quick, quiet comment to let your photographer know what's afoot will usually do the trick before the group gets settled for the photo. Just remember, as a courtesy, other Guests are waiting for their magical moment.
It sounds like you have your heart set on making your reveal at
Mickey's House in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Park. If you're familiar with the location, it's usually intended for intimate meet and greets. A typical group let in to meet Mickey is around ten Guests. Since your group is considerably larger, I can't guarantee that you'll be allowed in together. Your best bet is to check with a Cast Member and have a backup plan if Mickey can't comfortably greet that many Guests at once.
Other areas of the park can more easily accommodate a big group picture, including multiple spots along Main Street, U.S.A., in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Your vibes can direct where your feet take you for the special reveal. Explore options in the
Disneyland mobile app by bringing up the map and selecting "PhotoPass" at the top. Also, don't forget Disney California Adventure Park, which has some iconic Disney PhotoPass locations to check out. My favorite PhotoPass pictures are from Cars Land. Those vistas are stunning!
Have a magical day.
