Hi Kelly,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are asking about one of my very favorite special events at Walt Disney World.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is so much festive fun, with the perfect parade, so many opportunities to meet your favorite characters dressed in their holiday best, cookies and treats throughout Magic Kingdom Park – and, this year,
a brand new fireworks spectacular! I’m so excited to hear you’re planning to join the party this year.
Mine’s a military family too, and we are so appreciative for all the great
special offers available to us when we visit Walt Disney World Resort. We used military discounts to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last year, and our family made the best memories together.
I was really excited to hear that this year, the military discount is available for almost every Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party date. The Cast Member I spoke with told me that for 2019, the military discounts are available November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24 and December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, and 19. Party pricing is variable, and the discount varies too, so you'll need to call (407) 939-7679 to inquire about your dates.
In my experience, tickets can be purchased at the Guest Relations location right outside
Magic Kingdom Park (just to the right of the entrance tapstiles if you’re facing the train station). You’ll need to show your military ID to purchase the tickets, and be sure to bring your party’s MagicBands or admission cards so the Cast Member helping you can activate and apply the tickets. You may also purchase the tickets in advance from Shades of Green – give them a call at (407) 824-1403 to order or to inquire about the tickets. I always find the staff at Shades of Green to be super helpful with all my military ticket questions.
Kelly, I hope you have the most merry and magical time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year. Be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog, where you’ll start to see dispatches from the North Pole in the fall – they always share great news about all my favorite Christmas things: merchandise, treats, and celebrations! There’s so much
holiday magic in the air all around the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs in December, and I hope your family has a wonderful time sharing the spirit of the season together.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
