For mickeys breakfast inside animal kingdom, is this still going on? I looked at exactly 60 days out to make reservations and nothing was available?

    Hello Kayla,

Our family loves Animal Kingdom, and breakfast with Mickey and his pals at Tusker House is the perfect way to start your Disney day! I am so glad that character dining is starting to return.

We were just at Tusker House Restaurant, so I can say for absolute surety that guests are able to make reservations for this dining experience. I looked up availability for a family of 4 for 60 days from now, and I was only able to find one time available for a late lunch reservation. Depending on your party size reservations for the day you are trying to get may already be booked. My recommendation for you is to keep trying. Often people make dining reservations before they know their actual plans for each day, and they realize they need to cancel. We actually ended up getting our reservation to Tusker House on the morning of our day in Animal Kingdom. I hope you have the same luck!

If you are able to book a reservation, keep in mind that right now things are a little different than what you may be used to. Instead of being a buffet, the meal is served family style. It's all you care to eat, so servers are more than happy to bring you extra helpings. Another difference is that the characters don't come directly to your table, but they will stop close enough to pose for a socially distant photo. Even though our family is looking forward to the day when Mickey can come up to our table, sign an autograph book, and share a hug, we were able to get some really fun photos and make some great memories!

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
