Mickey's Backyard BBQ...is it a show? is it a picnic? did hte hoop-de-do review last year, LOVED IT, so funny! wanting something new this time...can you tell me more about the BBQ? 3 boys, 6, 8, 10. thanks - love the panel!

    Hi Mindy!

If your boys like dancing then it should be a lot of fun!  Mickey's Backyard BBQ takes place at Fort Wilderness, just behind Pioneer Hall where you saw the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review.  It's basically in a pavilion, but three sides of the pavilion do not have a wall so it can get pretty hot in there on a hot and humid summer day.

Picnic tables are at on end of the pavilion, while at the other end there's a huge dance floor and a stage.  The music is basically country music, with some patriotic themes thrown in from time to time.  The food is basically what you could think of at a hometown 4th of July picnic, and it's all you can eat.  The food is basically served buffet style.

When we there last time, the adults all enjoyed the beer and the unlimited Mickey Bars for dessert (they have others too, but we all loved the ice cream bars).  It was fun watching the children dance with the characters on the dance floor.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
