Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Olivia. A happy honeymoon to you! My family left the parks last year to arrive for a different dinner show, Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue also at Fort Wilderness, but your process will be similar.
Depending on the
Mickey's Backyard BBQ showtime you chose, you’ll want to arrive 50 minutes before showtime. If you have some spare time at Fort Wilderness, you can always grab a cocktail at Daniel Boone’s and watch the ponies walk around the Tri-Circle D Ranch. If you are coming from Disney's Hollywood Studios, you’ll want to allow up to the traditional 90 minutes to make the journey. The
My Disney Experience Mobile App recommends at least 60 minutes with low traffic levels to board a bus to
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground and walk the pathways to the theatre area. The extra half hour that you’ll pad into your travel time will allow you to be the first ones to arrive and be able to meet and greet characters before the show begins.
For extra honeymoon magic, be sure to pick up your complimentary celebratory buttons from Guest Relations at the parks or from the Front Desk of your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. It’s sure to bring well wishes and possible pixie dust not only at the show but all vacation long. Please return to ask me another question about your upcoming honeymoon and I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
