Hello, Is Mickey's backyard BBQ a one table svc & is it open in February? In our plans we would like to dine there on Friday evening February 22. Thank you

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gwen! I’m glad you’re hEAR planning your upcoming vacation. My family and I bought tickets to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ this summer and the kids had stars in their eyes over dancing with Minnie and hugging Chip and Dale.

The BBQ is considered a seasonal event only because it closes in freezing weather or bad storms.  It's open nearly all year, otherwise. Like many other dining options, it books 180 days or less from Check-in, so since that date is approaching, I’d get your typing fingers ready to fly in a week or two. As of today, availability is only open currently until early January, so I’d wait a few weeks and check with the calendar then. I highly recommend booking a Category 1 so you can be close to the action. My family had a Category 2 table near the ice cream (which I thoroughly enjoyed) but we would have loved to see the rope tricks close up. You can book either Category 1 or 2 tables with the Disney Dining Plan by using two table service credits per person. You can also choose to pay cash for the event if you’d rather spend those credits elsewhere. More information can be found on the 2018 Disney Dining Plan Participating Locations sheet.

If I can give you some insight to the tasty morsels available on the buffet at this party, please let me now. Don’t forget your cowboy boots and your plaid shirts. Yee-haw! ~ Lindsey P.
