Mickey's Backyard BBQ, I'll be at AK for the day, then headed there, how much time do I slot in, how do I get there from AK? Then how do I get to my hotel at Pop Century afterward?

    Hi Melanie!

Your plan sounds great - we usually plan a big night out after Animal Kingdom as well.  While we absolutely adore this park, it just doesn't take us as long to tour it as the other parks.  When you are leaving Animal Kingdom, board the bus bound for Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds.  This should take around 30 minutes - just to be safe, I would leave an hour early.  After you stuff yourselves silly at Mickey's Backyard BBQ, you will have to take two separate busses to get back to Pop Century.  The quickest and most direct route will take about 45 minutes.  While you may be tempted to board the bus for the Magic Kingdom, resist and take the bus to Epcot.  From Epcot, Pop Century is just a short bus ride away.  Whew!  Got all that?
