At Mickey's Backyard BBQ, are we able to visit with the characters and take (posed) pictures and get autographs as well as dance with them? If so, Do cast members try to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to visit with them? Thanks in advance!

    Howdy Jessica!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is one of my favorite character dining experiences!  Just reading your question put a smile on my face thinking about the last time we went to the hoedown.  "Let it Go" started playing and Mickey did a whole dance like he was Elsa.  It was amazing!

The character interaction at Mickey's Backyard BBQ is fantastic.  The characters dance around with the Guests at the beginning and then there's a point during the dinner where they have a designated meet & greet.  The last time I was there it was set up like a receiving line, so one line to see all of them and we took pictures with them individually.  I'm not sure if it's the same set up still, but there is most definitely time for a meet & greet with them.  There will be an announcement when the meet & greet will begin and where to go to queue up for them.  If you're in the line before a Cast Member cuts the line off, you'll be sure to visit with them.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions or need help with transportation suggestions to Fort Wilderness.  I hope your cowboys and cowgirls enjoy the BBQ as much as we do and save me some ribs!

    Have a magical day!
