Hi, Melissa!
You'll be in for a "hootin' tootin'" good time at
Mickey's Backyard BBQ. With a scrumptious spread of your backyard barbecue favorites, including ribs, chicken, burgers, and hot dogs, plus a chance to meet some of your Disney character favorites, and a display of cowboy cunning, there's a bit of something for every member of the family.
The babies are free at the BBQ, and even though it says they can "eat off your plate", at a meal like this, you can absolutely put together a plate for the kids at the buffet. You'll find macaroni and some kid friendly fixings that you can make a meal with.
There are high chairs available. While the tables are picnic style tables, where you'll be seated with other families, when you arrive, just le tthem know that you'll need high chairs so they find you a seat at the end of a table, which is where the high chairs will fit.
My kids loved this, even when they were toddlers. There's music and clapping, and it really is a good time. I also suggest heading over to
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort a little early to soak up the atmosphere.
If you decide to go, consider purchasing Category 1 seating. The price difference is not that much, but it gets you early access to the characters, the seating, and the food. You'll be closer to the action for the kids to see, and it'll be easier to navigate the buffet line before the rest of the guests drift in.
Enjoy!
Anna
