Does Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway use a virtual queue?

Hiya, Lauren! Welcome back to planDisney. Thank you for trusting us again to answer your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions.

Currently, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has a standby queue. You can also purchase a “lightning lane” one-time ride for a per-rider cost. When you purchase this, you can then choose the time you wish to ride. This can be purchased on the MyDisneyExperience mobile app

Last week, my friends and I decided to get into the queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway after the 8:45pm show “Disney Movie Magic”, which was a projection show on the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. We got into line around 8:55pm, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed at 9pm. The wait time was posted to be 30 minutes, and that was pretty accurate. It is Walt Disney World’s policy to allow all guests in the queue at park closing to ride, so this worked out quite well for us.

I hope this helps with planning for your February visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I hope we see you again with more questions before your trip.

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
