Mickey, Minnie and I share the same birthday! Is there anything special I can do because of that?

Hi Kaila! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Oh boy! What a lucky day to be born. Do you also rock polka dots and love hot dogs? I do, although I don't share a birthday with our pals Mickey and Minnie. I'm also a fan of celebrating Mickey and Minnie's birthday with them in the Disney parks! I was in the parks the day Mickey and Minnie celebrated their 90th birthday. It was a big one, so they donned birthday attire, and there were special treats, a complimentary button, and fun merchandise. The parks mark the day each year, celebrating in fun new ways.

That would be my suggestion for what you can do next time yours and theirs roll around: go celebrate! There's no more perfect place to do it than in Walt's park. And since it's not just their birthday, but also yours, you don't just have to enjoy themed birthday treats, you also can let everyone know you're celebrating too. So, grab a Complimentary Birthday Button at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. It's a fun memento of the day, but you also never know what magic might happen when you're wearing your button. Even if it's just dozens of spontaneous happy birthday wishes from Guests and Cast Members alike, it's bound to make your day that much brighter.

Take all the pictures. Maybe wear something extra special and your best Mouse Ears, knowing you'll be in a dozen keepsake photos. You'll have these memories forever. Disney's PhotoPass Service ensures that everyone in your group can be in the picture, and the photographers are pros at capturing the moment. There might even be a special Magic Shot available for the birthday celebration.

Also, before you arrive, book a really special meal, and if you dine at a participating location, order a yummy Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. Currently, dining reservations can usually be made 60 days out. If you want to dine with Mickey or Minnie, you can do that too! Character Dining Experiences are always an extra special way to celebrate, and with your button on, you could let the Characters know you all share your special day. The breakfast at the Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park, features our pal Minnie, while you can meet Mickey at Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Storytellers Cafe.

    Have a magical day.
