Hi Amanda! Thanks for reaching out to us here at planDisney!
First of all, I have to tell you that you will be living my Disney dream this December! Not only are you going to be at the
Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season, but you'll be spending it at the
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
And you're going to be attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at
Magic Kingdom Park? Can I tag along? All kidding aside, your trip is going to be epic!
At this time, we are unsure of when tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be going on sale. Last year, dates were announced during the Halfway to the Holidays celebration in June with tickets going on sale in early July. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements related to this festive event.
There's just nothing like the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort. While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the
big event, each of the parks usually has festive treats, gorgeous decorations, and some special entertainment. I love to visit the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels during this time of year to see their beautiful decorations. My favorite? Hands down,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's just the ultimate holiday destination. There is something absolutely spectacular about the Gingerbread House that's usually in the main lobby. Just keep in mind that you cannot drive and park at these resorts unless you have an
advanced dining reservation at one of their
table-service restaurants.
Besides the Christmas party, I also make sure to stop by
EPCOT to enjoy the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The
Holiday Kitchens usually have some mouth-watering options and the flagship event of the festival, the
Candlelight Processional, is beautiful and moving. If you want to watch this show, I'd suggest reserving a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package if it's offered again this year. The Candlelight Processional is a
very popular offering and by booking one of these packages, you get a great meal
and reserved seating for the show!
Amanda, I hope you have a wonderful holiday visit to the resort. Please be sure to
stop by again in the future if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help!
Christmas is a togethery sort of holiday,
Matt
