Do Mickey Ears have to be purchased in the parks, or can you bring in Mickey Ears to wear?

Hiya Kaitlyn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When I pack for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I lay out my outfits for every day, and they definitely include coordinating Minnie Ear headbands for every day. My daughter and I have so much fun shopping for Minnie Ears that reflect our favorite characters, attractions, snacks, and holidays, and we have an ear wardrobe that I know would make Queen Minnie herself proud.

I was so happy to hEAR your question, and I’m even happier to report that you may absolutely bring your own ears into the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks (and the resorts and Disney Springs, too). You will find an extensive selection of ears – including ear headbands and the classic ear hats – for sale in gift shops all around the theme parks. A very charming spot to purchase ears is The Chapeau in Magic Kingdom Park – they have a great selection, and they are right next to the Main Street Confectionery, where you can pick up a Mickey-shaped treat to match your new ears! You’ll even find unique ears themed to each park – for example, Epcot sells ears featuring different countries’ flags in the World Showcase, and you can find animal print ears at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On a recent visit to the planet of Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, I found adorable droid headbands that beep and boop!

While you can shop for ears all around the theme parks, and you can find many styles on ShopDisney, you’re also welcome to make your own ears, or shop online for small shop vendors that make unique ears. I have a few favorite shops on Etsy, and my advice is to read reviews to make sure the headbands are comfortable.

Kaitlyn, the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules are a great resource for checking to see what you can and can’t bring into the theme parks, and they have attire guidelines there too. But, rest assured that Mickey and Minnie welcome your ear headbands – as they sing in the Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party: “come on everybody, get your ears on! It’s a good, good, good, good time!”

Rock those ears, and chEARs to having the BEST time at Disney, Kaitlyn!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
