    So I got the Mickey ear hat a couple of years ago and a had I hung by the string and because of that the string is all stretched out and can’t be worn properly. So I was wondering if the string could be replaced in store or if I would have buy a new one?

    Hey Angie! Welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by with your question. I know this may sound strange, call me crazy, but we also wear our Mickey Mouse Ear Hats when we are not at Disney.

    The elastic chin strap band may need to be replaced by a local tailor as Disney Cast Members are not equipped with repair services for these items. I recommend you visit a craft store with your hat to pick out the elastic strap you want and take it to your local tailor. The overall cost should be much less than the price of a new Mickey Mouse Ear Hat. However, Angie, there may be a new Mickey Mouse Ear Hat style you would like to buy on your next Disney vacation, and you can keep the one you currently have as a keepsake.

    planDisney Pro Tip:  When it comes to storing our Mickey Mouse Ear Hats we place them "Ears up" on a shelf, and never folded to prevent any permanent creasing or damage to the elastic band. However, when we travel with them we fold and stick them on top of each other in the suitcase until we arrive at our magical destination.
