What is a Mickey check meal? I see it on some of the menus? If on the dining plan does my 9 year old have to get that?

    Hi Dena!

That is an excellent question!  The Mickey Check (Mouse ear symbol with a check through it) is an icon used on menus at various locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort for kids' meals and other items that meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines.  As a mom, I like to let my boys have fun and splurge within reason when eating on our Disney vacations.  However, I know that its also important to make sure they are getting the proper nutrition to keep them fueled up to keep up with me at Disney World - ha!

You can also find food products with the Mickey Check in grocery stores nationwide.  For more information, go to www.disneymickeycheck.com .

Your 9-year old will not be limited to the items with the Mickey Check symbol.  It just makes it easier to spot nutritious choices.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-)  Allison
