We will have a Mickey celebration cake delivered to the California Grill on June 18 for my granddaughter’s graduation. How big is it & can her name be written on it??

    Hi Joan!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation is next week!

I was lucky enough to attend a dinner this past December where two Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes, one of each flavor, were brought out as a surprise for a graduate school graduate at our table. They were the cutest cakes ever, and they tasted as good as they looked. The cake is about 8 inches across on the bottom and is listed as serving four to six guests. Since the cake is dome shaped, 'standard cake dimensions' make it sound like everyone will be eating the biggest pieces ever, or that the cake is kind of tiny. However, there were maybe 20 of us who had small wedding-size slices between the two flavors and there was plenty of cake left over for our grad to take home to her family.

There are two choices of messages that can be stamped on one of the (very delicious) chocolate ears, which are 'Happy Birthday' and 'Congratulations'. Names cannot be added to the ears, but you are more than welcome to bring your own decorations to be added to the cake. A cute cake-sized name banner from an online craft shop, some kind of toy or print out that represents your granddaughters high school mascot, or a tiny cardboard graduation hat would be a fun addition. You can add these yourself after the cake has been presented to your table, or ask the hostess or your server to add them to the cake before it's brought out.

I hope this helped, Joan, and We'll See You Real Soon!
