We are going to Mickey Backyard BBQ in a couple weeks with our 9 month old daughter. I just wanted to know if Mickey comes around to the tables to take pictures?

    Hi Sandra!

My kids love Mickey's Backyard BBQ.  In fact, it tops their list of dinner shows, and they've been going since they were tiny.  The characters don't make the traditional "table rounds" at this event, as they do at most character dining experiences.  Rather, it's an interactive show, where guests are invited to hit the dance floor with their favorite characters (including Mickey, Chip & Dale, Minnie and Goofy) and boogie along to a country western band.  There are generally certain times during the show when the characters are available for autographs and still pictures (versus action shots of kids dancing and playing with them on the dance floor).

The access to the characters at this event is really unusual in my opinion, and makes for a fantastic evening.  We have some amazing photos of my kids cutting a rug with "The Big Cheese" himself!  However, if you are looking for a "quieter" way to introduce your little princess to the characters in a more one on one way, you might want to include a traditional character meal (I love Chef Mickey's) on your itinerary.  Here, characters will move from table to table and afford parents an opportunity to take pictures of their kids with them one on one.

Have a great trip with your little girl!
