Hi Tabatha!
Thanks for sending your question to the planDisney Panel! Great question! I typically purchase the
Florida Resident Discounted Tickets or Annual Passes for my family so I can answer with all certainty that you can definitely purchase your grandfather's ticket. However, in order to activate the ticket, he will have to provide
proof of Florida Residency. Now, there are two ways of doing this. It can be done online when the ticket is being purchased. Simply fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form upon check-out when you purchase the ticket through Disneyworld.com or complete the “Customize Your Tickets” step when you purchase through the My Disney Experience app. You will need a valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address) or a valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address) or a valid Florida-based military ID. You will be prompted to enter the ID number and pertinent information. The other way would be to have him present his proof of residency at Guest Relations upon arrival at the parks. Hope this helps!
Quick tip: Be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone before your trip! Here you can see wait times for attractions and even where you can place a mobile order for many of the quick service locations!
Tabatha, thanks so much for stopping by the planDisney Panel. If you need more help planning your vacation, please feel free to send me your questions!
