    MGenie+/LL is changing on 7/24. One being the ability to pre select 3 LLs 7 days prior to your park day. I will have been staying on property for several days by 7/24 w/more after. Will we be able to make our selections 7 days prior to 7/24? Thanks!!!

    Hi there, Sarah, and welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you found us, and I'm happy to help with your vacation planning question. Let's dive right in, shall we? 

    The announcement of the new Lightning Lane system was certainly a surprise this week! Our planDisney crew has been asking lots of questions and reading all we can to prepare for the change. It feels like a good combination of the old FastPass+ system and the current Genie+ system and I'm excited to try it out on my next trip "Home"!

    Sarah, I talked to a couple of Cast Members to make sure I had the most accurate information for you. Currently, the new system will not go live until July 24, so unfortunately you will be unable to make advance selections for that date. For your dates between July 21 and July 23, you will still have access to Genie+ to make plans in the theme parks.

    On the morning of July 24th, you will be able to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or both for that day and the rest of your subsequent vacation dates. I think lots of Guests will be thrilled to have the ability to make plans in advance once again! Some specifics to keep in mind for the Multi Pass: 
    • You may choose up to 3 experiences and arrival windows in a theme park. Check out this handy list of the eligible experiences and attractions in each park!
    • Once you redeem your first Multi Pass experience, you can select another one (subject to availability). 
    • Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos are included with purchase!
    I'm sorry this changeover may add a wrinkle to your vacation planning, but I am sure you are up for the challenge, Sarah! The helpful folks at Guest Services are available in all of the theme parks if you have any issues or questions while you're on site. I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for additional updates as we get closer to the launch of the new system--and of course, our planDisney squad is here to help however we can if you have additional questions.
