For the Mexican Riviera cruise leaving San Diego April 24th what night is pirate night? Is there a formal night and are there any other themed nights? I like to dress extra special these days and want to pack appropriately.

    Ahoy there, Dorian!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Dressing up for the theme nights is absolutely part of the magic, so I completely understand wanting to pack just the right outfits as you put the finishing touches in that suitcase. With your sailing just two weeks away, I know you’re in full packing mode, deciding which looks are ready for their grand debut under the ship’s twinkling lights.

Now, you mentioned that you like to dress extra special for each theme night, which tells me you are most likely a seasoned Disney cruiser who knows that half the fun is planning those outfits ahead of time. That also means you probably already know your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is going to hold the final schedule. You’ll definitely want to double check it once you’ve connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi, since entertainment schedules can sometimes shift a bit, kind of like how the route from Pacha’s house takes a few unexpected turns on the way to Kuzco’s palace.

For your Mexican Riviera sailing, here’s how the themed evenings are currently lining up:
    • Day 2 (At Sea) – Formal Night: This is your chance to go all out with your most elegant attire. Think suits, cocktail dresses, or anything that makes you feel red-carpet ready. It’s also a fantastic night for photos since many Guests take advantage of the formal vibe to capture some extra-special memories.

    • Day 5 (Cabo San Lucas) – Pirate Night: After a day soaking up the sunshine in Cabo, the evening shifts into full pirate mode. This is when you’ll see bandanas, eye patches, and swashbuckling style everywhere you turn.

    • Day 6 (At Sea) – Semi-Formal Night: Right after all the pirate fun, things dial back to a polished but slightly more relaxed style. Semi-formal night is perfect for outfits that feel dressy but comfortable, giving you another chance to shine without needing to go full formal again.

And don’t forget that themed attire isn’t required, but it definitely adds to the fun. Watching the Atrium fill with Guests dressed for the evening always feels like stepping into one of the lively celebration scenes in Coco, where color, music, and personality fill every corner.

I hope this helps you pack with confidence and plan those outfits so you’re ready for every themed night coming your way. With formal, pirate, and semi-formal evenings on the schedule, it sounds like you’ll have plenty of opportunities to dress to impress.

Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
