I have a metal rod in my foot and can’t stand long. Is there still alternative entrance for attractions.

Hello, Peggy! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for bringing us your question! I hope your visit means that you’ll soon be headed to Walt Disney World to enjoy a wonderful vacation.

When it comes to having a magical trip, you will want to make sure that you are comfortable and safe while you visit. This will be possible by using the disability access services available for Guests at Walt Disney World Resort! I’ve spoken with Guest Services on your behalf, and they explained the steps needed to take. Upon arrival at your first Theme Park of your vacation, report to Guest Services, where you will request a disability access pass (or DAS pass). Next, they will lead you through the registration process. After this, you will have a card that will be valid for the remainder of your stay for yourself and your party (usually up to 6 guests, who you must register with on the first day).

The DAS pass is described in great detail on the Disney Parks Blog, but in short, it will provide you access to little to no wait time at any attractions or experiences you choose. When you’ve selected something you’d like to experience, present your DAS card to the Cast Member at the entrance, and they will let you know what time to return!

Peggy, I hope that this information helps you continue to plan an amazing Disney vacation! Please know that we are here for you during every step of your planning, so do not hesitate to come back and see us again soon! If you have any further questions about Disability Services, do not hesitate to contact them directly at Disability.services@disneyparks.com or (407) 560-2547.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
