Can you take metal cutlery into the parks

Hi Michael! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Hooray! Your Walt Disney World Resort holiday is here! I am sure that you have been busy planning your visit for a while, so you must be relieved that all your planning is now paying off.

Bringing food and beverages with us into the theme parks is not only one of my favorite ways to save money, but it is also a great way to keep my family hydrated and their energy up throughout our day. When it comes to other items such as metal cutlery, there are a few things to keep in mind. Normally, you want to avoid glass items, but security also searches for anything that can be considered a weapon and the Park Rules state that "knives and weapons of any kind are prohibited." I have taken in a small metal spoon before when my kids were still eating baby food, so a spoon should be fine, but I would definitely avoid any sharp items like knives.

Quick-Service locations should have cutlery available that you can use if you need items that you cannot bring with you. With these dining locations available throughout the theme parks, you should always be able to find one nearby!

Enjoy your trip, Michael! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
