Hi, from Metairie, LA. We normally go to WDW 1st week of Dec. almost every yr. I know they say it's one of the slowest time of the yr, but i found ever since 2007 it gets more and more crowed. We r planning to visit 1st week of Oct. How r the crowds then?

    Hi Amanda!

Is it just me or is EVERYONE else in Disney World this Mardi Gras???  I hope that you and your family are enjoying the parades while you are dreaming about your next Disney trip!  The first week of October is just about as close to perfect as you can get as far as crowds.  I checked out the crowd calendars and on a scale of one to ten, the first week of October scores no higher than a four out of ten!

An added bonus is that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party should also be occurring during this time.  This is my favorite special event at Disney and worth every penny - Enjoy!

    Much pixie dust,
