Going on a Merrytime Cruise next month and was going to look a decorations for the room. My question is this - Is the Merrytime Room Decorations different than the DCL Holiday Package? I would love the Merrytime.

    Hello, Margaret!

Thank you for contacting planDisney. I am very excited that you are sailing on a Very Merrytime Cruise! My planDisney friends and I sailed on a Very Merrytime Cruise last year, and we had an incredible experience.

I loved the in-room decorations that I purchased on a recent cruise. They added an extra dash of magic to my family's stateroom! I chatted with Cast Member Sarah to learn more about the current options for select Very Merrytime Cruises. The DCL Holiday Magic Package is different from the Merrytime Room Decorations Package. The DCL Holiday Magic Package typically includes Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey hanging banners, a holiday magic sherpa blanket, and a double-sided Mickey & Friends/Stitch pillow, plus a Captain Mickey shoulder plush and a Stitch stocking. (Keep in mind that items offered in all packages are subject to change).

The Merrytime Room Decorations Package usually includes a "Goofy on deck" bendable plush, a cozy holiday blanket featuring some of our favorite Disney pals, a Mickey Mouse-shaped pillow with a sewn-in advent calendar, two felt ceiling banners with removable felt ornaments, and a storage bin. Both options sound adorable (and are subject to availability). Seasonal in-room decorations often sell out early, which might be the reason you don't see a specific package under Onboard Gifts for your reservation. If this happens, just keep checking the Onboard Gifts page on the Disney Cruise Line website, as sometimes additional items are added in my experience. You can also stop by Guest Services after boarding the ship on embarkation day to see if they have any options for you.

Have you downloaded the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app yet? If not, now is a great time to do so! I check the app each morning when sailing on a Disney Cruise to see which activities my family wants to participate in, and we often use the onboard chat feature to send messages to other family members on the ship.

Margaret, thank you again for reaching out to planDisney. We hope to see you real soon!

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
