Going to the Very Merry Mickey Christmas Party on Nov 20. What are the best things to do that night? Have 2 girls aged 7 & 4.

Hi, Ann!  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is something my family looks forward to every year.    It is my very favorite event at WDW!   The list of "best things" I am going to give you is based on the party from past years, so times/shows may vary, but the magic will remain the same!

-Holiday Wishes - Fireworks Spectacular!   The fireworks are just incredible.   To get the best view, stand anywhere on Main Street where you can see the Castle.

-Nothing says "Christmas" like Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade!   There are 2 parades nightly at 8:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.   The second parade is usually less crowded.   Parade steps off in Frontierland and goes toward the front of the park.

-If you have kids, make sure to go to a Dance Party location where you little ones can dance the night away with some of their favorite Disney pals!

-Take lots of pictures!   We got some great pictures of our kids for our Christmas cards last year with the gorgeous Castle for a backdrop.

-Need a snack?  Check the park map for locations where complimentary holiday treats will be available - usually yummy sugar cookies and hot cocoa!

-If you plan to have dinner in the Magic Kingdom, Advance Dining Reservations are a must, or stop by Quick Service locations Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill Cafe.

-MVMCP begins at 7:00 p.m. but your ticket will get you admitted into the park at 4:00 p.m. - that's 3 extra hours of holiday magic for you!

-And finally:  The Enchanted Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle.   Words cannot describe how beautiful the castle looks draped in the ice lights - absolutely magical!

I am so excited for you and your princesses!   Have a great vacation and Merry Christmas!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
