Greetings, Lauren!
Welcome to planDisney, friend! I am delighted to see that you are planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the holiday season.
Christmastime at Walt Disney World Resort is a truly special occasion. There are seasonal festivities located throughout the four theme parks and at Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotels too! You will find everything from life-size gingerbread houses to snow on Main Street U.S.A. There will be plenty of holiday magic to explore during your stay.
This is such a great question, Lauren. Guests visiting Magic Kingdom Park on dates that offer
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can explore the park until it closes for day Guests, traditionally at 6 PM. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starts at 7 PM, and if you do not have a separate ticket to this special event, you will need to exit the park by this time. If attending this magical holiday gathering is high on your to-do list, you can
purchase tickets online before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. Some dates sell out quickly, so if you have confirmed your travel plans and wish to attend, I recommend purchasing these tickets as soon as you can.
If attending the party is not on your itinerary, Hakuna Matata! There are still so many options for festive fun after you leave Magic Kingdom Park for the day. If your tickets include the
Park Hopper option you can head to another theme park to explore the festivities. You can explore the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays or check out the Merry Menagerie over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Special event evenings are also a great time to head back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and enjoy all the amenities they have to offer. You can relax in the pool after a long day or book a dining reservation at a new location. These can be great ways to unwind and recharge before the next day's adventure!
I hope that your upcoming trip is merry and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
