Is the Very Merry Christmas party worth the price? I know my 5 and 7 year old would love it but we also have a 7 month old and 2 year old....so I need to know if it is worth the price to keep everyone up late! Thanks

    Hi there, Katherine!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR you have a trip to Walt Disney World Resort planned for later this year!  What fun you all will have and boy, oh boy will you make some incredible memories with your crew!

I love that you asked this question and I hope that I can help guide you in making the best decision for what is right for your family…simply put, my family LOVES the holiday-themed parties and I would hands-down recommend it!  We took our boys a couple of years ago to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and we had the best time!  Still to this day they talk about the Christmastime Parade and snow on Main Street, U.S.A.  We loved being able to ride lots of attractions without significant queues and we definitely enjoyed our fair share of sweet treats throughout the evening!  Yes, it was definitely a night we (all) were up way past our bedtimes, but it was worth it for my family and the memories we made that night!  We followed the late night with a restful “pool day” and lunch at Disney Springs, so if you do choose to purchase tickets to the party, I would possibly consider making the next day not as jampacked as other days tend to be!

If you are concerned about your littlest Mouseketeers making it through the evening, I would also suggest considering looking into an in-room babysitter from Kid's Nite Out!  My husband and I used the service on a previous trip and had a wonderful experience with the sitter we had in our Walt Disney World Resort hotel room.  We came home to sleeping toddlers who were happy the next morning and ready to go…even if we weren’t quite as chipper!

Katherine, no matter which direction you go with your plans, I know you will have a magical and memorable vacation!  Please come back with any other planning questions you may have as your vacation approaches!
