I'm so glad you stopped by with your question about
MagicBands. These great (dare I say fashionable!?) little pieces of technology packed with magic truly make a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation a breeze! The good news is that moving a MagicBand to another account is super easy too!
Once you are logged in to your original account in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App simply tap on the three horizontal bars in the lower right corner (sometimes called a "sandwich" or "stack" icon), then scroll down and tap on
My Profile. From there, tap
MagicBands & Cards, and then
Your MagicBands & Cards to see all active MagicBands currently linked to this account. To find the MagicBand you want to move to another account, simply match the number printed on the back of the MagicBand to the number in this list, once you find the match, tap on that MagicBand's number and tap the
Deactivate button.
Now you just need to log in to your new account, follow the same steps to get to the
MagicBands & Cards screen, and tap
Link a MagicBand or Card. You'll be prompted to enter the ID Code which is that same number located on the back of your MagicBand. Tap
Submit and you should be good to go! You can also complete this process online in your My Disney Experience account by clicking the
My MagicBands and Cards link, scrolling down a bit, and clicking on your name. There, you'll see options to deactivate any active MagicBands and a button to link a new MagicBand!
If for any reason you run into difficulty, you can always speak to a Cast Member at
Guest Relations at any theme park or Disney Springs or at the Front Desk of any
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. They'll scan your MagicBand, wave their magic wand, and you'll be all set to go!
