Is the Memory maker worth the cost for just my husband and myself? And does it require magic bands? Right now we only have cards.

    Hi Rebecca!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love going to Walt Disney World with my husband.  It's a totally different experience than taking the kids, and we always have a wonderful time.

The Memory Maker does not require Magic Bands.  Your PhotoPass photographer can scan your card to link the pictures to your account.

I think whether or not it is worth it depends on how many photos you plan to take.  My husband is not a big fan of posing for them, so on our adult-only trips, I don't purchase it.  I usually try to get one or two good shots with the two of us and can buy those separately for less money than the Memory Maker.

However, if it was a special trip (anniversary, honeymoon, etc.), then I would consider it.  I would warn him in advance that there will be a lot of photos so he can prepare himself!  He is a good sport about it when we take the kids.  I almost always buy the Memory Maker, then.

I think the Memory Maker is a good value if you really plan to stop for lots of pictures.  So, you should base your decision on what you plan to do!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
