Hiya Cali,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your Memory Maker question! I’m so excited to hear you’ll be visiting in October—you’re heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth during one of my absolute favorite times of year. There’s just something so charming about Main Street, dressed up in pumpkins, fall foliage, and spooky touches—even if it is still a little warm in Florida!
Now let’s snap right into your Memory Maker question. Memory Maker is truly one of my favorite Disney add-ons—it lets you capture all the laughs, hugs, castle poses, and ride screams with your favorite people (no one gets stuck behind the camera!). And when you're traveling with a big group, it’s a must!
Once Memory Maker is linked to your account, you can download all the PhotoPass photos taken of you and up to 25 people who are connected to you through your Family & Friends List and have photo sharing turned on. Since your fiancé will be the one managing Memory Maker, he’ll want to make sure that:
- Everyone in your party is connected through the My Disney Experience app to him.
- Each person has given permission for their photo to be shared with them. (They can do this by selecting “Update” next to his name in his Family & Friends list and making sure photo sharing is enabled.)
Then, poof!—all the photos taken of anyone in the group will be available in his account, watermark-free, ready to download or share!
Magic shot tip: Be sure to ask PhotoPass photographers if they have any Magic Shots available. These are some of our favorites—like the time we posed in front of the castle and later saw Tinker Bell floating in our hands! Or the Halloween overlay with the Hitchhiking Ghosts—it's spooktacular! However, please note that these magic shots are subject to change, so you never know what they will have.
Just one important note: Memory Maker photos
expire 45 days after they’re taken, so don’t forget to download all your favorites before the clock strikes midnight (or, well… day 45).
Cali, I hope this helped answer your questions—and I can already picture all the magical moments you’re going to capture. If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by again.
Wishing you a trip full of magical memories and picture-perfect moments!
See ya real soon,
Christina
