Hey there, Jessica, and welcome to planDisney!
Your magical visit to the
Disneyland Resort is just days away! Only three more sleeps until it's time to give Mickey a great big hello!
Since your visit is coming up fast, I'll jump right into your question. The short answer is: maybe! Let me pull back the curtain a bit and explain.
Queue Meet-Up is an accommodation designed for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue. It allows those Guests to wait outside the line and then reconnect with their party closer to boarding. The process can vary from attraction to attraction, and the Cast Members at each location determine how it works for each attraction. I verified some information on this
very helpful guide on the Disneyland website.
If the rest of your group is entering through the Lightning Lane, it is not always guaranteed that a Guest using Queue Meet-Up will be able to join them there. Since each attraction may handle Queue Meet-Up a little differently, your best plan is to speak directly with the Cast Member at the attraction entrance with your entire party present. They can explain the options available for that specific attraction, let you know where the meet-up location will be, and offer guidance on where the waiting Guests should remain until it's time to reconnect.
The good news is that Cast Members are very familiar with this process and are wonderful at helping Guests navigate the best path forward. Everything tends to come together once you've spoken with the team at the attraction! Depending on the attraction, rejoining your party could potentially mean entering through the Lightning Lane entrance or through the exit.
If your group does have
Lightning Lane access, the wait is typically much shorter than the standby queue. As a result, your entire party
may be able to enter the Lightning Lane together and reach the boarding area more quickly than using standby and Queue Meet-Up.
One other tip: make sure the Guest waiting outside the traditional queue can be reached by phone call or text message. That way, as your group gets closer to the designated meet-up point, you can let them know it's time to make their way over and join the rest of the party.
Jessica, I hope your visit is practically perfect in every way! I peeked at the weather forecast for your trip, and it looks like a beautiful park day ahead. Be sure to stay hydrated, take plenty of photos, and make space for a little pixie dust around every corner. May all your memories be happy ones!
Thank you for stopping by!
