Good thing too, because you’re one day closer to making memories with your family at the Walt Disney World Resort! But being the family Disney Vacation planner can be a lot of responsibility. This is exactly why I intentionally coordinate moments where the entire family is busy, and I can sneak away to enjoy a solo Disney Snack! Hey, being the keeper of the Disney plans also has its perks.
Betty, I believe that using the Family & Friends list within the My Disney Experience account is the solution for your needs. The Family & Friends list allows groups to coordinate their plans across the entire group by making dining reservations together, booking Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane Entrances together, mobile ordering food for the party, and more! Since my wife and I are on the Family & Friends list together, we divide and conquer reserving our attractions for the upcoming day. She’ll handle the Individual Lightning Lane Entrances, and I’ll manage the Genie+ attraction reservations. By using the Friends & Family list, you also lower the risk of your being overloaded and shutting down from multiple people making plans at the same time. Which could leave you without your desired attraction reservations! We definitely do not want that to happen!
Each adult in the family will need to create a My Disney Experience account if they do not already have one, and add the My Disney Experience app to their mobile device. After that's completed, you can follow the steps below to add them to your Family & Friends List in the My Disney Experience mobile app.
- Open the My Disney Experience app
- Select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the home screen
- Scroll down and select “My Profile”
- Select the Friends & Family list tab
- Scroll down and “Add a Guest”
There are a few ways to add a Guest to your list, so choose what's convenient for you and complete the prompts. Now you’re all set! If you run into any issues, you can reach out to a Cast Member at (407) 939-4357 for further assistance.
