We have members in our family with food allergies. Which counter service restaurants cater to allergy friendly?

    Hi Charisse,

We have taken multiple trips to Walt Disney World Resort with our son who has multiple food allergies. While table service restaurants are certainly the easiest experience for us as we are able to interact directly with the chef to find safe meals, we also eat at counter service restaurants often as they are quick, convenient, and affordable. All of the counter service restaurants will have ingredient lists for all items on the menu. The specific restaurants that can accommodate your family's food allergies will be strongly dependent on the dietary restrictions of each family member. For counter service restaurants, I recommend speaking directly with the Cast Member at the counter to communicate your family's allergies and find safe foods.

If you are visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom, you can take advantage of Gardens Kiosk, a resource designed to help Guests with dietary restrictions find food options within the park and purchase allergy-friendly foods for your family. Please note that while that area of the park is currently under refurbishments, the allergy menu has been temporarily relocated to Discovery Island Kiosk. I would recommend you stop at Guest Relations to ensure you know exactly where it is during your visit. While Animal Kingdom is currently the only park with a food allergy information kiosk, I have been able to find allergy-friendly packaged snacks in other quick service restaurants as well, such as Enjoy Life treats at Sunshine Season Food Fair at Epcot.

I would recommend contacting Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com prior to your trip to coordinate your family's special dietary needs. Come back to see us if you have any additional questions!
