Hi there, Keith! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question. It's so exciting to get to chat Disney with a fellow Louisianian!
The countdown is on, Keith! In just weeks, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your next magical adventure! Eeeek! How exciting! With spooky season upon us and the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival in full swing, you could not be visiting Walt Disney World Resort at a better time.
Since your situation is pretty unique, I spoke with a helpful Cast Member who confirmed that a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder must present a valid Annual Pass
and a valid photo ID to receive any of the
Passholder discounts and benefits. So, if your son happens to have a passport or any other valid photo ID, he will be eligible to receive the dining and merchandise discounts. Just be sure to have his Annual Pass card and ID with you at all times, if this is the case. However, unfortunately, you will not have access to his Passholder benefits.
But Hakuna Matata, Keith! It means "no worries!" I'd love to share one of my favorite snack hacks and budget tips! I always recommend purchasing a refillable popcorn bucket from one of the popcorn carts on your first theme park day. Then, the whole family can enjoy discounted refills of the delicious salty snack (Seriously, Disney popcorn is the BEST!) for the entire duration of your stay at all four of the theme parks. Just remember to bring your bucket with you to the parks every day. Then, you also get to take home a super cute souvenir!
Keith, while I know this probably was not the answer you were hoping for, I hope it was at least helpful. And I really hope that you and your family have the most magical and memorable upcoming vacation. Please stop by any time with any questions you have along the way. You've got a friend in planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
