Fahim from ????? ???? Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

A member of our party has tested positive for COVID19 10 days before our sail date. Can we change our sail date?

Ahoy there, Fahim, and welcome to planDisney.

I wish we were meeting under better circumstances, and I hope that your crewmate who has tested positive makes a full and quick recovery! My family just went through it, and while it was thankfully relatively mild and brief for us, there were a few days that were very stressful and worrisome!

But as sailors, we're used to a bit of rough seas every now and again, right? Even better, I have great news for you, Fahim - as part of the "Book Your Cruise With Confidence" program, Disney Cruise Line has temporarily extended an offer of a "Flexible Refund Policy" for situations just like yours! This temporary policy allows Guests like you and your party with COVID-19-related health concerns (symptoms or exposure) to receive a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or to apply your cruise fare toward a future sail date!

To explore an alternate sailing or cancel your reservation after experiencing a qualifying COVID-19-related health concern within 14 days prior to your sailing, you can contact a member of the reservation team at (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797.

My family was exposed to COVID-19 earlier this year and used this policy to reschedule one of our planned cruises to one sailing this fall, so I can attest that this policy works!

Whether you decide to move the sail date to a future sailing that commences prior to September 30, 2023 or opt for a refund instead to regroup and decide when would work best for you and your crew, Disney's Book With Confidence temporary policies have been developed with these exact situations in mind.

I hope you and your crew can find another sail date that works for you all, Fahim, and again, best wishes for quick recovery to anyone who tests positive! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as you continue to plan your rescheduled Disney Cruise Line vacation, please drop me another line here at planDisney.

Hope to SEA ya real soon!

    Andrew
