Hey there, Beth. Thanks for stopping by planDisney to chat with me about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.

Are you getting so excited for your vacation to the Most Magical Place On Earth, Beth? It will be here before you know it. May is such a great time to visit, the weather is just perfect!

Beth, each Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket assigned to another person is unique to them. When scanning in at a Walt Disney World Theme Park, it's two parts - the ticket scan and a fingerprint scan. With this system in place, you won't be able to just scan your friend in to Disney's Hollywood Studios when you arrive. If their park pass reservation is at Disney's Hollywood Studios for instance, they would need to scan in there before continuing on to any of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks, even if it is after 2:00 p.m.

The good news is if that is actually the scenario, Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT are so close together it will be easy for your friend to catch up with the group. My recommended way of getting between the two parks is the complimentary boat transportation that runs back and forth between the two parks with a few stops at some of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels along the way. The boat ride will be about 15-20 minutes and will let your friend off at the back entrance of EPCOT - The International Gateway. This is going to be right between the UK Pavillion and the France Pavillion so you all can meet up back there.
