Hi, Brooke! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I really appreciate the way that
Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone. The are many
services for Guests with disabilities to help make their visits to the theme parks more manageable. One accommodation that is available is
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment.
You can reach out to a Disability Services Cast Member to explain your group member's condition and see if DAS would be a good fit for her unique needs. If you're hoping to register for DAS, there are a couple of ways to go about this. When you are between 2-30 days before your theme park visit, you can
request a live video chat with a Cast Member. Please note that the member of your travel party who needs the DAS pass should be present during the video chat. If it is determined that DAS is an appropriate accommodation for your group member's situation, the Cast Member can get her registered right then and there. If you would prefer to wait until you arrive at the theme parks, you can also speak to a Cast Member about registering for DAS at the park's front entrance
Guest Relations location.
If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip, please stop by and visit us again at planDisney. Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
