Hi there, Angela!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I cannot wait for you to make the journey to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park. Prepare for an experience that is truly out of this world!
On the planet of Batuu you can live out your Star Wars adventures in so many new ways. Pilot the famous ship in Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, custom build your very own droid or lightsaber, and dine like a local in this immersive new land. If you would like to take part in building your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop or having some beverages in Oga's Cantina, you must reserve these experiences the day of your visit starting at 7 AM online with a valid credit card.
As you mentioned, sometimes a
virtual queuing system will be in place if the park and land itself start filling to capacity. Fortunately, this summer the land has not needed to use this very much as crowd levels have been low. If this is the case on your visit, too, you can just come and go as you please from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. On more popular days, if the boarding group system is in place, you can view signs and notifications on the
Disneyland app to inform you of this. Every member of your party's ticket must be linked to the Disneyland app when you select your boarding group so you can visit the land together. Keep in mind that if you all have a reservation for Oga's Cantina or Savi's Workshop, you will not need to obtain a boarding group as your reservation alone is enough to allow entry into the land.
I hope this helps, and make sure you watch out for the First Order on your visit. I hear they are always on the lookout for new recruits. May the Force be with you!
