    We are 9 member family travelling by the end of January to WDW. As meals plan are not available, I was wondering if I can use some kind of prepay magic band or gift certificate to pay for meals at the parks. I need to pay everything before travelling.

    Hey Jose! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! There’s nothing better than planning a vacation to Walt Disney World.

    I am happy to report back that you can use a Disney Gift Card on My Disney Experience to pay for mobile orders. Each year my wife, daughter, and I use Disney Gift Cards, and food is the perfect “gift”.

    There is a workaround here to use your Disney Gift Cards for other purchases as well. For us, the easiest way to use the Disney Gift Card is to apply the full balance to our account at our Walt Disney World Resort hotel. This way we can use our MagicBands as we normally would with a credit card attached to our account, but it’s nice to know we have gift card money already on our account.

    To do this, I would recommend chatting with a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World hotel and they will make the process of adding the value of your Disney Gift Card extremely easy and of course, magical.
