I am a member of DVC. We will be staying at The Villas and Grand Californian Hotel for 3 nights each. I have the following questions: 1) Do I have to move my luggage between hotels by myself? 2) Is it free to park my car ?3) On

    Hello Michiko, welcome to planDisney!

It’s always a great day when I can assist a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member with a vacation planning question. I’m so excited you’ll be visiting the gorgeous Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you are going to have a wonderful trip! It is situated in the perfect location for easy access to Disney California Adventure Park, you can’t get any closer!

I’ve been known to book split stays while at Walt Disney World Resort and a split stay on the West Coast works similarly. If you are staying at two Disney Collection Resort Hotels, you can transfer seamlessly between the two when it is time to check-in. If you’d like to visit the parks before your room is ready, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services and they will move it to your room so it will be ready and waiting upon your return.

Disney Vacation Club Members receive many perks and benefits when visiting Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. There are savings on merchandise, dining and experiences as well as on parking when staying on site. Since you are staying at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you will receive complimentary parking for the nights on your reservation. When you move over to the Hotel side, unfortunately parking is not complimentary. Currently, parking rates are $40 USD (plus tax) per night, per vehicle; valet servie is $70 USD (plus tax) per night, per vehicle (rates are subject to change).

Tip: Check out the Members Benefits section of the DVC website, it’s the best way to stay on top of the latest and greatest offers!

Michiko, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. If you have any other DVC questions, please let me know!

    See ya real soon,
