Hi, Emma!
It sounds like you have a fun afternoon ahead of you at
Disneyland Park with your friends! Reservations aren’t accepted for lunch at the many quick-service restaurants around the park, so if your group is trying to stick to a schedule or will be visiting on a busier day, I would suggest dining at a table-service restaurant that accepts reservations. That way, you can all be seated together almost immediately, leaving lots of time to relax and enjoy the meal and company. A reservation might be an even better idea if you’ll all have your children with you; waiting for a table or hunting for open seating to accommodate a large group isn’t ideal when you have hungry little ones in tow.
I suggest making a reservation at
Café Orleans in New Orleans Square. You’ll love the ambiance on the shaded patio, watching the boats float by on the Rivers of America as you enjoy a meal in the spirit of Mardi Gras! My favorite meal there is the Monte Cristo sandwich—it’s one of only two places in the parks where you can taste this specialty (the other being lunchtime at the popular Blue Bayou restaurant). Have some Mickey-shaped beignets for dessert, too—you won’t regret it! If you do plan to have kids with you, there are plenty of menu options to delight young palates as well, including macaroni and cheese. Reservations can be made in advance by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463.
Bon appetit, Emma! I hope this information is helpful and you enjoy your get-together with friends.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
