Welcome to planDisney, Kristy.
Disneyland Park is a "practically perfect" place to meet up with friends. Oh, boy! You're going to have so much fun. On my most recent trip, I really enjoyed watching
Fantasmic! with a bag of Mickey beignets in one hand and a mint julep in the other. Make sure you stop by the
Mint Julip Bar and treat yourself! Oh, now I'm all rumbly in my tumbly. Time for something sweet.
I tend to spend a lot more time at the Walt Disney World Resort, however, I have to say,
Pirates of the Caribbean is way cooler in Disneyland Park. Not just because it's located in the beautiful
New Orleans Square, but the ride itself is far superior! One of the cool parts is floating past the
Blue Bayou restaurant at the beginning. It's so peaceful and romantic. There's also a cool hidden Mickey on this attraction made from barrels. See if you can find it!
Speaking of Blue Bayou, getting a table for a party of 10 might be difficult, especially because you're less than 60 days away from your trip. Dining reservations open 60 days in advance and since Blue Bayou is so popular, tables usually get snapped up pretty quickly. However, you might get lucky. If I were you, I'd make try and make two reservations, each for 5 people. If you find availability, you can always ask a Cast Member if you can sit close together. It's not guaranteed, but it's worth asking. Another idea is to head over to Blue Bayou first thing in the morning and join the walk-up list by scanning the QR code located near the restaurant entrance. This is a great way to get a table if you don't have reservations.
I hope that's helpful, Kristy! I hope you're able to get that reservation. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
