Welcome to planDisney Karen!
I can’t think of a better place in the world to meet a friend! Walt Disney World and a friend go hand in hand!
Let’s get you connected with your friend thanks to
My Disney Experience!
First thing is for both of you to create profiles on the
My Disney Experience app or website. This will allow you to connect through Family & Friends.
Your friend will need to add you to her Family & Friends list to connect you as friends! She can do this by going to the My Disney Experience tab, click My Family & Friends, Add a Guest, and she will invite you to join her!
After you have been added to her Family & Friends list, she will then go back to the My Disney Experience tab, click on My Plans and Tickets and scroll down to find your resort reservation details and look for the “Change Reservation” button. Here she will find the option to make changes to the travel party and add additional guests (up to the room’s maximum capacity). So, if you are adding any additional adults beyond the base rate, there may be an increase in rate slightly.
There is a chance that if you change a guest on a Disney hotel room only reservation, you might need to do this over the phone by calling
Disney Resort Reservations. If she does run into any issues with adding you to her room, I recommend calling and a Cast Member will be happy to help.
You can now make
advance dining reservations or book
Lightning Lane passes together!
Karen, I’m happy to remind you that guests with reservations at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can book for advanced dining reservations for their length of stay (up to 10 days) at the 60-day mark, while off-site guests can book day by day as the calendar hits 60 days out. Be sure your resort reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience app if you plan to make reservations for your length of stay.
Karen, if you have any questions let us know! You'll always have a friend in planDisney!
