Hi Jen, welcome to planDisney!
Taking a large family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is a fantastic way to make magical memories that you’ll cherish for years to come. And from a fellow Hoosier, I know a getaway to the Sunshine State is always a good idea.
Your Florida resident family members can buy tickets at the Florida resident rate for children under the age of 18. Make sure to add your family members to your
Family & Friends List on your My Disney Experience account so that when the tickets are purchased, they can be assigned to your children. Your non-Florida resident tickets can still be linked to your name under your My Disney Experience account. The Florida residents will need to be present and have
proof of Florida residency at the time of ticket activation.
If you’re planning to visit soon, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival has just started and will be running through July 5, 2023! I love visiting the festival when I am with a large group because everyone can easily find something to eat at the outdoor kitchens rather than having to book a table service dining reservation. This year, the Flower & Garden Festival features
new topiaries of characters from Encanto and Princess Tiana. The
Disney Parks Blog also just released their
Disney Eats Foodie Guide with a breakdown of all the food available at the festival. I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but I like to look at the guide and make note of which foods I want to try and where to find them!
I hope this was helpful, Jen. Have a great family visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any future planning questions, come
visit me again at planDisney!
