Hey there, Kimberly! I am glad to meet you here at planDisney.
Kimberly, you are almost there! Can you smell the beignets? First, you must be so excited to get a
Virtual Queue Boarding Group this morning. It's no small feat, as so many people cannot wait to go down the bayou with our girl Tiana.
My advice: Do NOT cancel anything! I've been in the same situation when trying to coordinate a trip with other families. Based on my experience, I recommend speaking with a Cast Member at
Tiana's Bayou Adventure when you get to
Magic Kingdom Park. They told me I could wait until later than my Boarding Group callback time to join our friends. I can't guarantee you will have the same response, as I am sure there are reasons why they may or may not be able to accommodate this request. But it is your best bet not to miss out on Tiana, Louis and Mama Odie.
I'll be wishing upon Evangeline your friends can get a Virtual Queue at 1 pm. Since you must be in the Magic Kingdom to be eligible for the second chance, I set the alarm clock on my cell phone for 12:55. It is so easy to lose track of time.
Another tip for future Virtual Queue opportunities is to connect your
MyDisney accounts with your friends. Once they are on your "
Family & Friends" list, they should appear among the Guests you can include when you create your party. Then, you can include everyone when you try to get a Virtual Queue. 'Ohana!
Since I know you will be together today, the easiest way to add them is by using the
My Disney Experience app. Open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen), scroll to your profile and select "Family & Friends List." Click "+ Add a Guest" and use the "Scan their linking code" option. They can find their linking code under their profile on the app.
Kimberly, I hope the Pixie Dust that sprinkled magic at 7 a.m. follows you throughout the day. If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. We'll dig a little deeper to get you information and tips to help.
Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Jana
