Hi! We're meeting my dad +3 at WDW for 3 days on our vaca. I've made several ADR's for the 6 of us, but if he should cancel at last minute, is it a problem if just DH & I went to ADR's instead of all 6? Can we split the check, DDP/cash as each family?

    Hi, Scotty!

If all of your party cannot make it to an Advance Dining Reservation, just let the cast member know when you are checking in at the podium.  If you know you will not make it at all for your reservation, kindly call to cancel at (407)WDW-CNCL.  On my last vacation to WDW, I had to call to cancel a reservation, and they were so nice and thanked me for calling, and even offered to re-book my party for another time.

As far as splitting the check, this is no problem at all.  Just let your server know at the start of your meal how you want the check split and who is on the Disney Dining Plan.  If your entire party consists of 6 or more, an automatic gratuity of 18% will be added to your bill.

I hope that your dad and the rest of your pals are able to make it so you can enjoy some magical meals together while at Walt Disney World!   Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
