Where can I meet my VIP tour guid at Animal Kingdom?

    Hi Joan,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your very important question our way. While every Guest is a Very Important Person at the Walt Disney World Resort, a Private VIP Tour is an amazing way to have an incredible Disney day! There’s nothing like having this personalized experience in the theme parks, and with your special access and enthusiastic tour guide you are bound to make the most of this time. I’m excited to share more details of what’s possible for your special day.

The VIP Tour Guide team will be in touch to plan your day together as your tour date approaches, but you’re smart to think ahead. I suggest you think through the timing of your experience and what you want to prioritize in your time. For example, starting or ending at a parade or nighttime spectacular will enable you special access to an elite viewing area. Or consider that you may not wish to spend the precious time for a table service meal so where do you want to be for a quick service meal at the right time during the length of your tour? Your guide will have all the experience and advice to share with you, but having your family’s preferences in mind for that conversation will help you maximize the magic.

Please know that your VIP Tour Guide can meet you at either a theme park or pick you up at your resort. My friends and I have enjoyed hitting our favorite attractions at all four theme parks on a tour, so we love the resort pick-up option to begin our day. The tour vehicles are allowed special access to “backstage” areas at the theme parks for parking and you may then enter the theme park through a special entrance – often right next to your favorite attraction! This approach has saved us many steps and gained much efficiency as we can magically appear in Pandora - The World of Avatar without navigating through the front of the theme park, for example. The tour guides will still take you through a private backstage security screening as all Guests are required to encounter, but it will save you much time if you are in their company.

If you wish to meet your guide at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, they can advise you the best exact spot to meet up that day when you are in contact with your guide closer to the tour date. Their recommendation may vary based on weather, special events, park hours, and other factors to help personalize your day together. Please also consider where you'll want to be at the end of the day and any transportation needs to return to your resort.

If you didn't book a Private VIP Tour and are asking about the special tour experiences at Disney's Animal Kingdom such as Wild Africa Trek or Savor the Savanna, please see the important details to "Know Before You Go" on their specific tour pages and in your email confirmation for meet-up information.

I hope this helps you envision what to expect and perhaps some additional ideas to consider for an amazing start to your private VIP Tour at the Walt Disney World Resort! This is a very special investment in an experience that will soon become a core memory.

Please let our planDisney team know if you have any other questions to make the most of this magical day, or for the rest of your vacation.

    YOU are the magic,
    Amy
