Hi, Grace!
Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question.
One of the most magical things about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the chance to see beloved Disney characters come to life right before your eyes. Little girls who have only seen Disney Princesses in storybooks and classic Disney films gaze in wonder when they meet them in person for the very first time! I'll never forget the first time my daughter was able to meet Cinderella, and the look in her eyes as she was greeted by Disney Royalty. (That little girl is an adult now, but she'd still wait in line to hug her favorite Disney Friends at Walt Disney World!)
At this time, Character Meet & Greets are still temporarily suspended, and there has not been an announcement as to when they will return. While traditional character interactions are unavailable during this time of Walt Disney World's
phased reopening, there are still lots of opportunities to see Disney Characters, including Disney Princesses, when you visit the theme parks.
In
Magic Kingdom Park, Guests can spot a wide array of Disney Characters in
cavalcades, and there's a special one full of princesses! Keep an eye out for The Royal Princess Processional to see such favorites as Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Elena of Avalor. While you won't be able to hug them, they will wave and interact with Guests as they make their way down the parade route. In
Epcot, you can see Disney Princesses in the Princess Promenade,
touring World Showcase in a horse-drawn carriage. I've also seen Princesses in various locations in the park, greeting Guests from a distance. Anna and Elsa have been making appearances at Royal Summerhus in the Norway Pavilion, will pose for socially distanced photos, and you'll be able to interact with them as well.
Just like you, I'm looking forward to the day we can once again get a cheek-to-cheek photo with our favorite Disney Characters - I miss my Mickey hugs! Walt Disney World continues to make intentional and gradual adjustments to bring back favorite Guest Experiences, and I'm confident they will bring back Character Meet & Greets as soon as they feel it is safe to do so. In the meantime, I encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World on
Facebook and
Twitter for the most up-to-date news and announcements.
Thanks again for visiting planDisney - have a magical day!
