Hello there, Laurel!
A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so sorry to hear that not all members of your travel party will be able to make the trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. As you count down the days until your Walt Disney World Resort holiday, I'd be honored to help you navigate the modifications to your plans.
It sounds like you've booked a
Disney Resort Hotel Package including theme park tickets for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth - how exciting! If possible, I encourage you to reach out to the friendly Cast Members at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line to discuss the change in plans and update the Guests on your Disney Resort hotel reservation to reflect only those family members who will be traveling. (Alternatively, you may be able to complete this on the Walt Disney World Resort website by navigating to
My Disney Experience.) Laurel, while
theme park tickets are nonrefundable, the value paid for an unused, expired ticket can always be applied to a new ticket, so I hope that means you'll be able to travel and make magical memories together again at a future time!
If you don't have the chance to contact the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations call center ahead of your holiday, be sure to stop by the
Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel to update the roster of Guests staying in your room, Laurel. Not only will this ensure you aren't charged for an additional adult who couldn't make the trip, but it'll also provide you the opportunity to pick up Key to the World Cards for your group. Additionally, the Front Desk offers currency exchange services, if needed!
Laurel, I wish your grandmother a quick and restful recovery, and I hope the rest of your family enjoys its enchanting escape. If you have any additional questions before or during your holiday, you're always welcome to revisit us here at
planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Warm wishes,
Lauren
