Welcome to planDisney! I really hope you enjoy your upcoming visit to
Port Orleans – Riverside! I just returned from a visit there last weekend, and it was just as incredible as I remember. I’ve always found the resort to be a hidden gem, and I love that it is one of the select resorts this summer featuring
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER activities. I popped into the lobby to talk to a Cast Member and ran into Minnie Mouse in the lobby, and my littles loved going to the Pajama Party!
Enough about this, Teresa; let’s chat about the 5th sleeper. I also selected my room at Port Orleans – Riverside for the 5th sleeper. I have a toddler, and she is too big for a pack-n-play, but sleeping in a standard bed is too big for her. Which is why we love the 5th sleeper; it is the perfect child-sized bed. I’m not sure how tall your teenager is, Teresa, but generally the 5th Sleeper bed is perfect for Guests up to ages 9-10 because it is 66” in length by 33” in width. Now with that said, I am 5’2” and I find it can be quite comfortable in a pinch. But my Prince Charming, who is closer to 6 feet tall, has to scrunch to fit. So if your 15-year-old is on the taller size, then the 5th sleeper might not be big enough for them.

check-in water park benefit really is the perfect way to beat the summer heat, and my family had so much fun seeing all the surprise character experiences throughout the theme parks. You never know who you will see, and it is always fun for my littles to point out their faves when we are walking around ( my toddler got so excited when she saw Bullseye at Magic Kingdom).
